Article 4 of the Missouri State Constitution requires that our elected officials pass a balanced budget.
Article 4 of the Missouri State Constitution requires that our elected officials pass a balanced budget. After many calls and visits to Jefferson City I found no one who could explain to me how it is that they can certify a balanced budget every year, year after year and yet the state of Missouri has a debt load of $80 Billion. And over $30 Billion of that is in the empty state retirement fund. In fact, Missouri is one of 13 states that have a debt load of over $50 Billion and all the states added together have a total debt of $5 Trillion. And not one of them can pay it back. Folks, this is money that WE owe. We the tax payers. Their ain’t no tooth fairy. The money has to come from us. We the People.

Article 4 of the Missouri State Constitution requires that our elected officials pass a balanced budget.

The states have always expected that the Federal Government would eventually pick up the debt. NOT! Our Federal Government is in debt over $25 Trillion now , and last year the Congress had to borrow over $500 Billion to pay the $230 Billion interest payment. Yes, folks Uncle Sam had to borrow money just to make the interest payment on the money that they have already borrowed! Did I say ‘they’. Oops. I should have said WE ,because you and I are the ones that have to pay it back. Why are you hearing this from me and not the people we elected? Call them and ask them. Then explain it to your grandchildren.

Oh, and by the way, Uncle Sugar is lawfully required, by law, to spend more than $50 Trillion over the next 10 years. Yes, I said Trillion. This is not a plan folks, this is madness.

Have a nice day.
